Collectibles Corner - Hull Pottery

The ever popular Hull Pottery company of Ohio manufactured dinnerware, kitchenware, art pottery and more from 1905 through 1986. They are probably best known as the makers of the Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar, but their floral patterned art pottery is the real standout - prices are on the higher end, and demand is remaining steady as the availability of flawless pieces has diminished over the years.

Here are a few of the most popular floral art pottery patterns from Hull:
Dogwood
Woodland
Magnolia
Wildflower
Orchid
Sun-Glow
Water Lily

There are also non-floral Hull art pottery patterns that are in demand today:
Mardi Gras
Royal
Capri
Continental

Dinnerware and kitchenware from Hull is also highly collectible - from cookie jars to pitchers to mixing bowls, there is something for everyone to love! Their "drip" dinnerware patterns are a true classic, coming in colors like brown, green, orange, and more.

The other product line that Hull is well known for and produced in huge quantities is planters - from novelty figural planters to more utilitarian - but still beautifully styled - florist planters, a Hull collector could focus on this category exclusively! The planters tend to run lower on the price scale than the art pottery and kitchenware, so if cost is a concern don't count them out as an area you can collect on a budget!
